:confused:How do I change my IP Adress on XP Pro sp 2 and sp 1?:confused:
I had it all set up but then put another computer on the network(windows ME)
and it messed the whole network up

Controll panel, network conections, right click on your NIC, click properties, click Internet Protocol TCP/IP then click properties, use the following IP address.

That would only work if your DHCP server is configured to renew IP addresses every few minutes, otherwise that IP is tied with that PC until the addresses in the pool are released then renewed.

That changes your LAN IP, if you want to change your external IP (the one that is seen on the internet), then doing what you did wont make a difference.

it's only 2 (soon 3) computers connected(hardwired) with a belkin wireless g router to transfer files and share drives
