Ipod car radio

Hey all,

Best Buy sells 3 different things for the car with the IPod.

a charger, a radio player, and a combined one.

My question is if I get the combined one then everytime I plug that in to listen is it going to be charging because that would screw with the battery life. If so, would it be better to buy the two seperate entities and just use the radio until it needs charged and then charge it. Or is there some way on the combined one to only charge it when you want?

Thanks

"If the battery is used and fully depleted to 0 %, this is called a "deep discharge" cycle, and this decreases its capacity. Approximately 100 deep discharge cycles leave the battery with about 75% to 85% capacity."

Thanks Wikipedia :P

I second that and i know that from experience with lithium batteries

it is best to run them down every so often though
You're thinking of Nickel-Cadmium batteries, as far as I understand it, Li-Ion are fine to charge whenever and for however long you want to.
