They say VLC is good for everything Video and Real Player is good for everything Audio.

I would like to know two things about Real Player?
Is it good for all Audio File Types?
And can you use it with iPod Nano?

I'll just skip to your second question and say no. iPods only work with mp3, m4a, and m4p files. If you have some sort of different audio file that you want on your iPod, you're going to have to convert it.
