Ipod Linux?

Just wondering if you guys can help on this topic? I've tried countless websites and nothing, so I figured here was a place where people knew what to do. So before I go on about my problem, is it ok to discuss here?

I've been there, I have IPL, but I'm having troulbe understanding how exactly to get IDoom (doom) on my ipod, if you or anyone could help, that would be great.
I'm having trouble installing IDoom on my Ipod MINI. I have looked everywhere for a few days and have tried everything, so I'm here. I have installed IPL etc. So I downloaded IDoom and extracted the files, then I took the files and put them in the notes section, that didn't work. So then I put the files on the F:/ drive (my ipod through My Computer etc.) and that doesn't work. Where exactly am I supposed to put the extracted IDoom folder? where and how?
*please help, I would appreciate it, and if your going to spam, please don't. But I have honestly looked around, thanks for any help.

I clicked on my Ipod twice to access the root I guess, well while in disc mode I went to My Computer>F:/ Ipod and added the IDoom_1.3 folder, well in my Ipod I then went to File Browser>mnt and found the files but they don't run.

*my friend has IDoom and goes through Ipod_Control, but for me all I have in Ipod_Control is Devices, Itunes and Music.
Just incase any of this will help
*Do I need the IPL to run in disk mode when putting them on, or can it be on the standard Apple OS?

This is what I posted on various forums, and no one helped, so if anyone can help that's great, but if this isn't aloud on the forums then delete it, I'm not trying to cause trouble, just fix a problem.
