Ipod, not connected to USB 2.0 Port?

When I logon to my PC, it gives a balloon saying that it can perform faster if it was connected to a USB 2.0. I have a brand new, just built PC, what going on?

thanx

it is directly in the back of my mobo, and I have also tried it in the front USB on my case which(as you know) is connected to a mobo header

on some motherboards this is actually an option in the BIOS, you can either enable or disable USB1.1/2.0 support or both, or one etc... i had it on my old Abit SG-72 board, damn confusing, by default it should be turned on though, worth double checking...

aight thanks I will check that out, that is stupid, seriously, who isn't gonna use 2.0? Besides some boring person with no life

depending on the setup of your computer you may not have the correct USB driver top make your adapter support USB 2.0.
Check on the manufacturer's website for current drivers.
