Ipod shuffle problem

I purchased an ipod shuffle on dec 15 of last year. It completely died once and apple replaced it. However it did it again and nobody apple or circut city will look at it. I think the problem was it was removed from the computer before XP said it was safe to do so. Is there a fix for this?
 
try plugging it in.. the worst that could have happened is that it got corrupted... it'll probably just need reformatting

i've pulled my ipod out loads of times
 
Yeah, I pulled my iPod out before I "Safely Removed" the hardware (iPod). So just stick it in, reformat and should be good to go...
