Ok so i've upgraded everything except my monitor this year and i think its time for a change. I've heard about IPS monitors .. are they worth the price?

for example:

or:

over:

This is my current:

what sort of difference will it make ? I'm really looking for someone who bought an IPS to give a fair comparison. also any other suggestions for outstanding monitors in the price range of 100-200 pounds.

Done a bit more research and found a dream monitor:

i too have windered the benifets of IPS screens and the pros /cons of them. it would be for gaming and editing. i knw they usualy have higher then desired response times, but im not too sure how it effects ghosting in games sincce its an IPS screen. if anyone can elaborate on this, it would be awsome.

i did a load of research and actually went ahead and ordered one from korea. looking forward to it with massive anticipation. so many people/websites saying its legit. if anyone does decide to go for a CrossOver 27Q or Yamakasi Catleap. these have the brightness options some dont. also dont get tempered glass people have found these tend to have dust in the screen.

but also read this;
