Is 1GB addition of RAM noticeable?

I'm temporarily using a Dell Dimension 4700

According to the manual, it reads 533 MHz speed despite being 800 MHz, just curious about that anyway

I currently have 3 GB installed, that's a 2GB card and a 1GB card.

Which I don't understand as the manual says each slot (4) reads 1GB, I thought so anyway unless I misread for non-ecc

Anyway, if I already have 3? Does the fourth GB matter?

I ask because it may be a waste of money to buy it and I'm not going to use this computer that long anyway.

I'm running windows 7 and I intend to use Google SketchUp for some modeling.

Would be irrelevant since you're using a 32 bit operating system. The actual usable gain would be something like 256 MB.

Yeah you wouldn't notice much of anything off of that since your OS will top you out at around 3.5GB or a little less.
