is a backup power system really needed?

Im just a casual person, who uses his computer for movies and games, and stuff. I was just wondering is a backup power supply system really needed?

some times we have a power outage but has been when i was sleeping. But I don't really do any stuff like work on my pc that i cant do later. Just wondering if it is needed really

If your area has many black/brown outs, yeah, it's worth it. I'm sure it's better on your computer than suddenly cutting off, or running on low power.

I actually have one, but I quit using it. Mine, for some odd reason, only puts out about 90v. The computer will run on this, but you can tell something up because speakers and such devices(when connected and running off the battery) buzz...

cause i saw this and seems pretty nice..but dont really have quite a lot of brown out or black outs.. so i guess a no..but here is a link for anyone looking for one i guess. Im thinking of upgrading my mouse i have logitech something lol

this is the one i was thinking of picking up. it has enough plugs for me, and it even has a cool little flashlight for those nights when the lights go out.
