Is a better CPU fan necessary?

I just ordered a new system with a Pentium D 940 3.2Ghz CPU. The CPU comes with a "fan." However, I have read a lot of reviews saying this processor is really hot. I will be using the system for gaming, 3d modeling, and AutoCAD, is the included fan gunna cut it?

Do I need to get something better?

Thanks!

If you keep everything stock, stock fan should be fine. However if you are thinking of overclocking then an aftermarket cooling plan would do wonders with keeping that chip cool at higher speeds.

Ok... probably will overclock eventually when I feel the need for more power :), but for now it should be good. Thanks guys!

I have a Pentium D 945, and the stock fan is fine. Its not my gaming computer though, I'm using it to encode stuff, but I find that is ok, obviously its no match to the Core 2 Duo and why should it be, it was released earlier than the Core 2 Duo line.
