Is a nVIDIA GeForce 7600 GT good?

Hi, this is the graphics card thats built-in in the pc im going to buy:

256MB nVIDIA GeForce 7600 GT - Dual DVI,HDTV & TV-Out + DVI - PCI-Express

Is it any good? The rest of PC Im confident with the spec:
intel core 2 duo E6600 or E6700 (not sure yet depending on budget)
300GB SATA hard drive with 16mb buffer
2048 DDR2 533MHz RAM
Super Format SONY 16x Dual Layer DVD Writer +R/-R/RW/RAM
16x DVD-ROM Drive (40x CD-ROM)
19" ViewSonic VX922 TFT Flat Panel Monitor -DVI (2ms)
7.1 Channel Surround Sound Audio
Logitech S200 - 2.1 Speakers with Subwoofer (not much space in study for 5.1:( )
Logitech Cordless Keyboard & Cordless Optical Mouse
Belkin Wireless G USB Network Adapter

so would you think its worth paying an extra £80 for this:

The only difference is that from 7600 ts 7900 so it should be a notch up. Will it really make a difference :confused:
 
I'm pleased with my 7600GT. About the only game that gives me any problems is Need For Speed Most Wanted, but I think the biggest issue there is my dual core setup, not the video card...
 
cool Thanks :D - Im not really an intense gamer but I use a lot of photoediting and image rendering software to an intense level that it drains my whole pc so I just like to make sure that the next edition(s) of my software will work smoothly and not on a mediocre level...
 
A 7600 isn't the best choice for such rendering. That's more processor intensive. Honestly, this 7600 has given me problems with some programs that require OpenGL and such rendering(like Poser)
 
yes... it will make a diffrence.... and wtf... take off 300MHz from the core clock on your GPU or your GPU's RAM... even your CPU FSB and tell me you dont see a diffrence.... the price diffrence in DDR2-533 and atleast 667 isnt that much, and by far is worth the extra $10-$15
 
I agree, you deffinetly want at least DDR2-667, but I highly recommend getting DDR2-800 memory for any Conroe or AM2 system.
 
I'm going to upgrade my RAM eventually, but I'm not sure that 667 or 800 will work on my mobo. here's my mobo, could I get something better then 533, or am I stuck with it?

EDIT: here's the specs for the memory, I think I might be stuck with 533

Wait, you're planning to go conroe with that rig? Cause you can't, the motherboard doesn't support Core 2 Duo. And no, you cannot use anything higher than DDR2533 ram on that motherboard.
 
no, I wasn't planning to use a conroe for a while, 1. I can't offord it, and 2. my CPU is fine for now, I might upgrade it again in a few years or so(after the ram) dang it, that's what I was afraid of, oh well.

EDIT: also, another thing I was wondering about is, what's the differance between Buffered, Unbuffered, and Registered Ram? And the voltage?

Is this good ram, it looks good, and everyone but one person gave it a 5.
