ClocKworK said:That's what I was thinking too, but I thought 2x1mb l2 would be more useful
ClocKworK said:no, I know that.
My point was I could get the 4000 for a bit more and it had 1mb per core
With the 3800 only having 512kb per core.
monkeysims said:Oh, I though you meant the 4000+, not the X2 4000+, sorry. The X2 4000+ would be a nice choice. I know that on the 24th, the price of the X2 3800+ is dropping to $169, im not sure about the rest of the cpu's though.
ClocKworK said:Oh, I'm sorry. I guess I didn't say what core it was![]()
Well AM2 hasn't been around a while. I'm assuming no AM2 processors will drop. But I'm just guessing
ClocKworK said:Yeah the 4000 x2 doesn't have any price on 4/27
ClocKworK said:lol, ur just beggin me to get the 3800 arent you

If you're into gaming get the single core at the higher speed. It'll last you for a couple of years... THEN you can get the dual core when the software becomes mainstream- and that's why you stick with the AM2 board.
Seriously, WTF did people do BEFORE the DC chips came out? I think DC will have a time and place- but not just yet. Fast single CPU's are still driving the software- so go with a nice single core CPU and buy a nicer PSU or vid card.
Just my $0.02
If you ever ran a dual-core, you would see how much better it is than a single core. When you have several windows open, or a program such as anti-virus or encoding program running, you dont even notice a slow down with a dual-core like you would on even a super fast single core.RainbowTrout6 said:Here's my deal with dual core chips... unless you multitask like a beeotch, the dual core is over rated.
