Is ATAPI 7 and SATA I the same?

I need to buy a new HDD for my old laptop. HD Tune says, that the current (almost out of order) hard disk uses interface "ATA/ATAPI-7 - SATA I". So, will any hard disk described in the shop as "SATA I" or "SATA/100" be suitable? I searched the Interned for the answer for a while, and from what I found I think that the answer is "yes" - but I'd like to make sure before I buy something I don't need

Any 2.5" SATA hard drive will work.
