is battlefield 2 worth buying?

I was browsing BB and came across bf2 the other day... flipped the box over and it looked alright, went home and saw a few gameplay clips on youtube and thought it still looked fine....


I will always enjoy a semi-realistic fps but this one looks a bit slow... a bit too much snipping if ya know what i mean... correct me if im wrong!


how would you describe the gameplay? is it a chaotic mess like cod4 or is it more like a pixel sniping Red orchestra?


should i buy it?
 
OOOOO i remember those days as playing it on the xbox live...... It's Fun as. Theres choppers tanks, artilery strikes. Basicly you have to control stratigic points and then you can spawn there, theres several class. Egineer, Spec ops, Etc. And Not that caotic.
 
i have the games its sooo fun to play but u cant have vista u need XP. It's really easy to get used to and the flying and artillery attacks and the tank battles is insane in my opinion id buy it if i was you. its not as chaotic as COD4 either
 
I wouldn't pay top dollar for it but if its cheap with an expansion/booster pack then yeah I would get it.
 
it wont work for me i got the patch and everything it let me join any servers. inly the single player works. unless someone can tlel me how to get it to work?

running the program as an admin will fix 99% of problems

right click the shortcut, go to properties, compatability tab, select run as admin

Ya that still doesnt work it wot work with vista it tells me when i go to install this program has only been tested on windows xp home 32bit

Doesn't matter, just hit okay and it installs. The game works on my computer 100% of the time.

@lexmark: BF2 is a great game, it's less chaotic than COD4 but it's not all sniping. It really depends on what map you play, I personally prefer city maps as it's faster paced and less vehicle based.
 
I would definitely go with Frontlines: Fuel of War. Its made by the same guys, it just came out last week. That game is sick. Helicopters, tanks, anti air, APCs, humvees, jets, an thats just the vehicles. There is so much stuff in this game. I like it better than BF2
