Is Grid Hard too steer?

I have an impossible time trying to steer in Grid. I just bought the game. I tried playing it on my PC with the keyboard and the X-BOX controller. I played it on my 32 inch tv with the keyboard and the X-BOX controller. I tried messing with the driver options that controlled the acceleration, steering and brake strenght of the car. I put it at different settings like from 0%-100%

Is this game just impossible to steer or is it just the PC version? I tried the default settings on the steering, brake and acceleration strenght settings and there is no way that they are supposed to be designed for the PC. The car kept spinning out and steering too easily right in to the walls.

Is PS3 version like that too?

Hm I don't know. It's pretty hard to steer with a keyboard, it took me a good 2 days to even finish a race. However once you get used to it it's pretty neat. Try just using your keyboard, the controller might be screwing things up.

Keyboard may be the solution.

I did try using the keyboard and it did seem better than the controller after I changed the acceleration, steering and brake strenght of the car from what was the default settings.

I had bought the X-BOX 360 controller which is able to work on the Pc or X-BOX 360. It was 60 bucks which was kind of expensive, but I looked in the instruction manual for Grid and it said you could use it for the game. So since I had trouble steering with the keyboard I thought that it must be the solution. I feel that the keyboard is better able to steer the game than the controller though.

Is this a common issue where PC driving games are difficult or is this soley Grid.

I have the game too. I forget exactly which menu, but you need to go into it and make sure that all of your driver assists are turned ON.

This means turning on traction control, stability control, etc. etc. and this should make it a lot easier to drive.

I had the same problem with spinning out too easily and losing grip, just turn on assists and it should solve the problem.

My friend bought the Logitech Xbox 360 Wheel, and used it on his PC with Grid, and said it helps a whole lot.

Something to think about...

i dont think its hard, maybe on the keyboard yes but using the 360 controller for Windows its okay :)

Sure it takes a bit to get used to but I wouldnt say it is hard. I pulled out my old wheel (on PC) the other day and I found it quite a bit easier to drive to my surprise cos usually i suck with a wheel.
