Then it should be just fine. C2D line is faster clock for clock to the old p4 and if it can use both cores it is even further superior.

The Intel Core 2 Duo Mobile Processor P7350 would whoop any Pentium 4 processor clock for clock if it was running at full speed I do believe.

Now for my rant:

I hate that Intel introduced the Pentium 4 way back in August of 2000 and has kept them going. It's very confusing to the end user as they are still making the stupid Pentium 4 processor.

The Pentium 4 Willamette made back in 2000 ran at 1.3 gigahertz. Now they are making the Pentium 4 Extreme in 2008 if I am not mistaken. Intel, drop the Pentium 4 name please!
