Is it possible? Laptop>Internal HD via SATA cable?

I have this laptop that i am looking to sell. Would a SATA cable work to get everything off the hard drive to my desktop pc hard drive? I do not have a dvd burner

if the drive is a sata drive, then yes you can hook it up to a sata drive on your desktop.

Yup, I've done it before. Laptop SATA drives have the same connectors as desktop SATA drives.

I guess networking isn't an option? Slower, yes, but you don't have to crack open any parts of the laptop
