Is it possible to change a drive ?

a friend has a PC with 2 HDDs
first one was set primary as drive C
second one is D,E,F.........etc
now the first one is gone
and he got an OS on the other one

he's working fine but there is no drive C
and it's causing some problems
i want to change the D drive to C
coz the D has the boot stuff

In Windows XP go into computer management. Go to Start > Run and type in compmgmt.msc

and then disk management
change drive letter and path
i got it
