just bought a VAIO VGC-RB53 desktop today, and I realized that there is no floppy disk drive.. -_- but I need to save files on floppy disks because the computers at my school don't have USB ports...

so... is it possible to install an internal floppy disk drive in this desktop?????

THANKS!!;)

You'd need to open up the case and install the drive, doing so would void the warrenty though. Once you open the case it's as simple as screwing it into place and connecting the correct cable (if there is one inside the case already) if not you need to buy/find a floppy cable (dirt cheap/usually free). Then just go into the BIOS and set the Floppy device 1 to 1.44Mb (or yes, depending).

You could also use a USB floppy drive :)
Hadn't thought of that, I assumed he wanted internal, USB would probably be the better choice, you won't void the warrenty (if it still has one) and it would me MUCH easier to install :D
