Hello guys, i wanna ask when we take our motherboards to repairing in any service centre and if the issue is not fixable at instant we have to keep our motherboard there for few days but is it safe as i have heard from many that people in service centre take out the good components from it and replace it with some other faulty one.
I want to repair my motherboard but i am worried about my motherboard good components will be taken off and i don't have so much knowledge about hardware so i would not be able to come to know even if they taken off anything good part from my motherboard.

I've never heard of service centers removing parts from a motherboard and putting on defective parts. If that ever came out, they would be in trouble when its an authorized service center. If you get it back and it don't work correctly then take it back.

Repairing a motherboard? Like an actual motherboard (ie - replacing capacitors, ports, card slots, etc)? Do places even do that? Or do you mean bringing the computer in and you're worried about them removing a video card or RAM and replacing it with a bad part? In which case, what John said - just bring it back.

He probably means PC.

Some shady shops will dump your data or go through all your crap, but I haven't seen any shops that will knowingly fraud you and change parts hoping you won't notice.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking as well.

It really just depends on the shop. Some place are shady, most aren't.
