Hi all,
As I read this forum, I find a lot of the infections are reside in the temp folder under user/local settings or other temp folders, Is it safe to delete these files under the temp folder, isn't is the temp mean temperary? do the programs or windows os still use them after the programs are installed?
Thank you.
Paul

Use Ccleaner to delete the temporary files. Yes, temp means temporary. But sometimes when programs install they don't necessary clean up after themselves. And as you said, infections like to reside in the temp files.

So once the installation finished, they are no longer needed by the program or the operating system? Thank you.

Keep in mind, that malware hides itself everywhere on your computer, not just temporary files. Malware keeps you busy and some of them are hard to detect/remove.

=) Cool, seems 2 me like you have hell lot of time to clean them by your hands instead of pressing 2 or 3 keys with Cclean or Regclean =)
