Is it safe to use Alt+f4 to close program like games ?

I am currently playing an MMORPG called Seal online and when i exit the games using manual exit button in games my laptop is totally hang

Is it safe to use Alt+f4 to close program like games ?
Any side effect ?

Yeah its fine to alt F4 you can do that just make sure you have saved your games before you quit.

yea alt+f4 is just a short cut to the close button.. no side affect should happen.. like pressing ctrl+C to copy and ctrl+V to paist
