Hi,
Whenever I use google, yahoo or any search engine to look for any topics, and when I click on the searched results, the link does not bring me to the desired website. It will bring me to some porno website or another search engine website..

I had used ad-aware and AVG (free version) to scan but problem still persists.

Can anyone help and advise... Thanks!!!
:)

Run CCleaner or Avast, and go into start/run/msconfig/startup and go through the list and see if you see anything that isn't suppose to be there. You can google each name.

Just a suggestion

As advised, Log is run and pasted below.. please advise what to follow up.. Thanks. :)

A couple of infections here that need to be dealt with.

You may want to print out these instructions for reference, since you will have to restart your computer during the fix.

Please download FixWareout from one of these sites:
http://downloads.subratam.org/Fixwareout.exe
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/files/lonny/Fixwareout.exe

Save it to your desktop and run it. Click Next, then Install, make sure Run fixit is checked and click Finish.
The fix will begin; follow the prompts. You will be asked to reboot your computer; please do so. Your system may take longer than usual to load; this is normal.

Once the desktop loads please post the text that will open in a new reply.

Please download NoLop to your desktop.

  • First close any other programs you have running as this will require a reboot.
  • Double click NoLop.exe to run it.
  • Now click the button labelled Search and Destroy.
<<your computer will now be scanned for infected files>>
  • When scanning is finished you will be prompted to reboot only if infected, Click OK.
  • Now click the REBOOT Button.
  • A Message should popup from NoLop. If not, double click the program again and it will finish.
--If you receive an error, mscomctl.ocx or one of its dependencies are not correctly registered, please download mscomctl.ocx to your system32 folder then rerun the program.--

Please post the contents of C:\NoLop.log along with the FixWareOut report and a fresh log from HijackThis. Please let me know if you had any problems during the fix.
