After upgrading my CPU to the Ryzen 7 3800x, I did a test on a session of video editing and encoding to see how the machine performs.
The following chart is the CPU and GPU usage during the editing (the first 75%) and encoding (the last 20+%).
It seems that the CPU can handle the tasks quite proficiently. But the GPU seems to hit the wall in quite a few places and for the while.
Is it time to upgrade (currently GTX 1060 6gb) to a RTX 2060? Any suggestion on VDRAM (6 vs 8 GB)?
