Is it true that more than 20 Bookmarked Items Slows Down Internet Surfing/Downloading

Yahoo last week posted an article which stated that if you have more than 20 items in Your Favorites/Bookmarks this will slow down your internet speed. Is this true as I never heard of that before? If so, as I have 200 or so sites bookmarked, where can you store them easily as an alternative? Thanks

Ummm... No. Unless, you have a 15 year old computer (I still cant imagine that you would have slower speed), or your using IE6. I still wouldnt think so, but that is a bad browser. I went from 1 to about 70 bookmarks now, no difference.

bookmarks have no affect on your internet speed. They are stored on your hard drive. The only time you will see a difference is if you try to open them all at the same time.

the question was would it slow down internet speed. They will not ever. You can have 3TB of bookmarks, and it still will not affect your internet speed.

Thanks Bizarre How They Posted Wrong Info Like That

Thanks I had never heard of that since that article. I guess that's how reliable Yahoo based articles are.
