Is it worth dropping $300.00 on a motherboard?

Ok.....

So I am really stuck on which motherboard to purchase. I originally had it narrowed down to three motherboards:

But after looking at the positive reviews of the Asus P6X58D Premium (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131614) I feel I may as well just drop the extra 100 bucks and get a solid motherboard.

But the question is, do I really need it? This rig is pretty much strictly for gaming. I plan on doing some OCing (i'd be happy OCing my 930 to 3.6) doubt I will OC my ram. I am going to start out with one GPU, may end up with two max.

Please post your opinions on the Asus, or any other $300 mobo you feel is a good buy.

I dont get your 300 buck thing. If your just plan on (mild) overclocking and (might) run SLI or C/F, why are you possessed spending 300 bucks on it?

I was considering that one as well. Then I stumbled across the ASUS P6X58D-E. Basically the same as the premium, just missing a couple of things and $80 cheaper.
