Is it worth to change i5 4670k and Z87?

Hi guys, in the advance sorry for my bad English.. Anyway i have a:

i5 4670k
Gigabyte Z87-HD3

I see that new Z97 chipset and Haswell refresh cpu will came on the market soon.. So my question is it worth to sell my current parts and buy new? My pc is build for games, videos and off course surf the internet.. So what to do next if I sell my cpu and mbo and buy new parts I will get more powerfull system I mean more benefit then current parts?

Simple answer: no.

Unless you feel that your 4670K is too slow, then maybe upgrade to a 4770K or wait for the new stuff to come out.

Still using an i5 2500K and a Z68 board from 3 years ago very happily over here. :)

But if you are happy with performance now, leave it and save your money.
 
I wouldn't. There's not enough gain for the expense, even if you sold your current equipment.

If you want higher end there's Haswell-E and X99 coming out around a couple months from now which will contain an 8 core part.

Yes I know about that stuff (x99) But there is no point to sell my current parts for new (z97 and i5) ?
 
Its not like you do anything too CPU demanding anyway. Similar to spirit I own a i5-2500k not OC'd and it does great. That 4670k will last you a good 3-4 years, so put the money towards something else or save it.
 
like many before me say, no keep your money in the pocket, at the moment i,m running a i7 975 extreme overclock to 4.1ghz, and i have to say, its still performs great in what i do, gaming, rendering (oke mayby i have to wait a couple seconds more then with a 4770k), but what the hell.
so the only thing i,m upgrading is a videocard, so keep your cpu, and enjoy, save your money.
