Is it worth upgrading my MX518

So I have a Logitech MX518 that I absolutely love. But I noticed higher models that look like it, and was curious if they are that much better?

Since I have 'big hands' I like the width of it and I like the two thumb navigation buttons, those are the two things that are a must for me, other than that, I'm open to any ideas.

You said that there are other models...what models do you exactly have in mind? it all depends... but really your mouse is perfect for everything unless you really want to spend money on getting a new one. :)

Well as far as Logitech brands, there's the...

Gaming Mouse G500
Performance Mouse MX
G5 Laser Mouse

not to mention other brands.

I purchased a G5 from here off Funky,Its an excellent mouse...i previusly had a Logitech RX1000 which was only 1000dpi..

the G5 is 2000dpi and what a diffrence it is,However im not sure how much of an "Upgrade" so to speak it would be from your current mouse because i think the MX518 is 1600Dpi?

But then again,Your MX518 is optical sensor....the G5 is Laser so...

Well that's what one of my gaming buds said to do is get a laser and a higher dpi and I should notice a difference. Plus I've been using the same mouse pad for.... 8+ years? so I was going to upgrade to one of those X-Trac XL gaming mouse pads.

I'd just get a G500 and one of thouse mousepads with the gel wrist support. all of logitech's gaming mice have teflon skates/feet so you don't really need a mousepad.

Well I've seen videos of people just moving around their mouse effortlessly and I do have a glass table top on my desk, so I thought it would be nice to have the 'keyboard/mouse' size pad. But I'll take a look into the G500!
