My 7900gs.
Can it play games like WoW on high fine with no lag?
What would I have to do to my system if its not good. Like over clocking the gpu and the cpu.

My internet connection is DSL 5mb down and 500-600 up.

Would it be necessary to upgrade to 2 gigs of ram, an 8600, and a new psu?

Thanks

Your videocard should play world of warcraft fine with no lag. I would overclock your cpu and if you want to stay with DX9 get a 7950GT or with DX10 get a 8800GTS 320MB or 640MB.

And I would upgrade to 2 gigs of ram and a new powersupply around 600 Watts with at least dual rails with at least 20@ on each of them.

WoW isn't a demanding game at all. All it demands is 10-11 gb's of hdd space.

That cpu can use some ocing though.

i think like wow this lan game the necessary is the internet connection speed.
wow is directx 9 if you buy 8600 or higher is so waste..upgrade your ram or cpu is another choice.

We already told you in your other threads, the 8600GT is a downgrade from a 7900GS, especially if it's overclocked. If you want to upgrade, dont buy anything lower then an 8800GTS.

If you have 2GB of RAM, you'll have near enough the same system as mine, you'll definately be able to max WoW. Without a doubt! :)

Although, I don't think you need to OC your CPU yet, nothing uses both cores, and when it does it'll be just fine, OC when you need to :)

Almost any card can run wow. The games graphics suck, it's not a demanding game except for the memory.

I thought WoW had good graphics?
WoW's graphics suck, they are no where near high-quality.

No No the graphics aren't good. Look at the trees and grass and all and they suc but there kewl graphics.

If this game had very good graphics it probably be like 20gbs +

I guess we have different opinions then! I remember replaying Zelda: OOT a year ago and although the graphics were blurry but after awhile I got used to it and thought it looked pretty good. I'm always going back and replaying the oldies, maybe that's why i think the GFX are good.
