Is my CPU broke???

Just a quickie,

I've been having problems with my computer freezing randomly and unexpectantly, I've checked almost everything possible, can a dodgey CPU cause such issues???

Maybe a loose heatsink. That can cause problems.

I'd use a boot CD like PC Check and run the system stress test.

If it's anything like, I just tried 'HeavyLoad' which stresses the proccessor usage, no freezing or overheating, CPU sounds fine then??

Yupp. CPU is fine then.

I'd still remove the heatsink and reseat the processor and heatsink though.

Ok will do, I'm thinking of re-applying the paste too. Bit shoddy at the moment.
