is my cpu keeping up with my gtx 470 sli

just as the title says. i ran vantage, and my gpu score was 28000 or so, and my cpu score was 45000. i remember when i ran just one 470 and my cpu score was much lower, around 33000, which led me to think that the single 470 bottlenecked my cpu. since the cpu went up 12000 by adding another 470 in sli, would it again increase if i did a 3 way sli? if so then just what exactly would be the bottleneck in my system, or am i just interpreting the score differences wrong? any help would be appreciated as to pin pointing any bottle neck in my system and what i can do to even it all out. thanks

Go into vantage settings and check "Disable PPU" (PhysX) and re run it. with PhysX it always inflates the CPU score and then the entire score you get is basically worthless.

alright so i ran it again with ppu disabled, and i got 11000 for cpu, and 25000 for gpu. big difference i guess between the 2. im still needing to know what would be my bottleneck, and what would even out my computer. is there some sort of test or settings i can mess with in a game or something that will let me know what to look for to tell if mu gpu or cpu is a bottleneck? like maybe run a game with vsync off, lower all settings and see what my fps are, then up the settings then up the settings and see what happens? and if so what would i look for and what would it mean? any and all help is freatly appreciated

Your CPU will probably be a bottle neck here as you have fast ram and good bandwidth on the GPUs. Also your hard drive is the next upgrade.

yea id say its the cpu sadly, and probably the only solution would be to look into the x6s or a i7 based motherboard/cpu setup to take advantage of that setup...thats alot of data to move between those two cards
