Is my graphics card bottle necking my computer (for CRYSIS)

Hey, just got crysis (demo) and have Crysis pre ordered for its release here in England. And I was disappointed to see I can only run the game on medium settings to get a reasonable frame rate.

Is my graphics card the only/main thing bottlenecking my frame rate? I don't want to get a new card as I just paid £210 for this one. And if I did that would be £210 wasted. But I'm thinking getting a second and running it in sli? Would this make much difference?

Oh my computer is the one in the sig and I'm running vista home premium 64bit.

Thanks

Jon

Im realy suprised to see you can t max it out, crysis makers say the perfect card for the game is an 8800GTs, what size screena dn resoltuion you on?

I took AA off and it was weird

Like frame rate was good but everything just seemed weired like jittery

Will try it again though

You really don't need it if you have the post processing on (motion blur), You could probably up the res too! :)

Ohh post processing :P wasnt sure what the hell that was.

Well have everything on high and I get from 19 to 35 fps which sucks cos 19 is when Im in battle. But turning AA off has helped alot thanks.

What else reduces frame rate loads so I can turn them down to medium?

Ok will do that now, not much change but maybe it made a few frames per second change not really sure.

Oh it also keeps going to window view how do I make it full screen?

I say turn off post processing, and see what frames you get then. I thought it was annoying, the motion blur I mean.. anyways, turning it off should help the frames. Just experiment. Post processing and shader level are the biggest FPS eaters, they're are also the settings that provide the most effect.

It goes from full screen to windowed? I dunno, Is there a setting in the options for full screen? It should be ticked.

I was told having post processing on is what keeps the game looking good without any AA. So I got to keep that. I will just leave it as it is and hopefully get used to it.
