Is My Hard Disk Dead???

my computer was struck by a lightning 2 days ago i cant turn the computer on .... is the hard disk drive damaged... i know one could take the hard disk out and try on a another computer but i don't have a another com....... ....... but what are the chances that my hard disk is still alive...... coz i have a lot of important documents on the computer......

samething happened to my friend, he lost his mobo, PSU, and his wireless PCI card, but his videocard, CPU and everything else was alright

The only way for you to find out is to put it in another computer and see.
