about a month ago my internet connection gets fried and I go and buy an internet card. Today when I turned on the computer (after it was off for around 20minutes) it started up fine but when i went to load a program it wouldnt load. I checked the hard drive that it was located on and noticed that the hard drive wasnt their. This is a 4 month old new hard drive that i use specifically for pics and movies. It shouldnt have any problems. So i did what i thought was the logical thing and and restarted the computer. Now the os hard drive was missing. i tried booting up several times with no avail. I tried changing the connectors from one slot to the another. No go. However finally it started working again (both hard drives were put back into the original connecter slot). Now noramally I keep the computer on 24/7...did it overheat? or is thier some other problem that I dont know about?

Help...

Unplug the hard drives from the mobo and move them to different slots. If this does nothing, then its your hard drives. As to over heating, for how long have you had this computer? If you've had it for a while, then there shouldn't be over heating NOW, but rather when you first got it. Cept maybe for dust but I don't think it would do that.
