is my mobo supporting SATA or PATA?

Both, it has 2x SATA connectors and standard IDE connectors. Get a SATA HDD if you can because the transfer rate is better.

it will support sata and pata hdd if you use sata you will proberly have to create a floppy of the drivers of the cd that came with your motherboard and when you install windows you will be prompted to push f6 to install the drivers from the floppy a good sata drive is the maxtor diamondmax 10
