Is my monitor dying?

The connection to my monitor was never good. It works 90% of the time and if not I have to jiggle it a little but it works fine.

Now though, even when I turn the screen on (GREEN light is on) it shows my desktop for around 1 second. Then goes off. Still with the green LED. This is monitor #2 of #2 connected to my computer. Catalyst and Windows both see it fine.

Any ideas? Was happening a bit last night but then it went on and stayed on..

Well you can check if it's windows or your PC or something by using another monitor, I doubt it though, check if it's not wiring getting lose or conections getting lose or something that could be fixed like that. If your sure it's not the PC or connections, then it must be your monitor screwing up... If that's the case have fun shopping for a new one!

It's to bad it's not dying the way my friends monitor did! It literary blew up into smoke!
