I overclocked my cpu and ram and im now getting blue screen of death, my specs are in my sig...

i overclocked the ram to 433MHz and overclocked my cpu to 2.35GHz, voltage 1.45 multiplier x10

any problems with this? im just about to but it all back to defualt to see if that does it but i do like it overclcoked i can actually notice a difference...

anybody know whats my problem, or could give me some recommended overlcocking settings?

Thanks :)

You should lower your ram to 266Mhz/DDR333. Then when you overclock it will be around DDR400, and you wont be stressing your ram. You also need to lower the HTT multiplier from 5x to 4x.

try putting the voltage on the ram up to 2.8 and see if that helps
the BSoD may be caused by the Hyper Transport. Since your cpu is designed to run at 2000Mhz, and at stock its 5x [BUS]. If you lower the HTT to 4x, then it will be 4x [250BUS], and that will give you 2000Mhz.

But if you do that and it still happens, try lowering your ram speed or raise its voltage.

i've had my htt at about 1200 before without problems.. i think the ram 's more likely to be causing a problem at this speed

ok my rams at 333Mhz and the HTT is at 4x, i dont think there is anywere to overclock the cpu in my bios so ive been useing AI BOOSTER from my ASUS mobo disks...

thats the program and the settings that can be changed, all the things there are on default, what should i have them at?

I reccomend you O/C from the BIOS, its more stable that way.

The ASUS O/C utility is nice, but even so, use the BIOS.

I did try useing the bios but when i went to CPU settings it only let me fiddle with the RAM settings the cpu setting was locked...

do you know anything about this?

Ok i finaly found my settins in the BIOS  after ages of looking lol. anyway ive got some screenshots of my bios witch is probly the same as everybody elses, but i just need some help choosing what settings to go up to...

i was hopeing for 2.4GHz - 2.5GHz and overclocking my ram a little

here are my current setting, what do i need to change to reach my goal?

Thanks and sorry for being a pain

Go to DRAM cofiguration, set RAM speed to 333 MHz and set Command Rate to 1T, then set the CPU frequency to 240 MHz, multiplier 10X, CPU voltage to 1.4V, PCI clock synchronization mode to 33.33 MHz, leave the HT multiplier at 4X

by saying command rate do you mean memory timeings?

Yes, it should be on the bottom, 2T is the default state.

EDIT: 333 MHz may be a little too high, try with 266 MHz.
