Is My Proccesor Good?

There's absolutely nothing wrong with your CPU. Try and overclock it if you're not happy with the clockspeed, but there's so much more to a processor than cores and clockspeed. For example you need to look at the efficiency of the design and the amount of cache there is and how much power the CPU needs and what voltage(s) it can safely run at.

Your Phenom II X6 is a great CPU. Just be happy with it. If I had an X6 I'd be happy with it, but I do love my 2500K. :)

vistakid you're not reading the question. He's not asking about the CPUs performance relative to workload, hes asking is his CPU competitive with other CPUs on the market.

Is My Proccesor Good? Simple question i dont want an answer saying depends what you use it for -_- Yes or No?

AMD Phenom(tm) II X6 1055T 2.8GHz

And the anwer no, because 6 slow cores on an AMD architechture is pretty shit relative to most modern CPUs.

Sorta of a BS way of asking. You got a low clocked X6 and you dont want to discuss what your going to be doing with it. But you want to know if it any good or not. It highly depends on what your going to be doing with it.

Pell, It is good.
I have an AMD Athlon 64 x2 and I think it is good.
I also have a Pentium D 820 it is fair.

In the end if it does what you want it to do, it is good.

I have a Celeron 1.7ghz and it is good, all it does is run my CNC router.
I have others also, but I think you get my point.

A question should have a reason, you do not give a reason for that question ,so it can not be truly answered.

My answer is Yes & No.

Further in the posts you mention your computer is crashing, is this the real reason for asking your question?

You have people arguing over B.S.

okay, I will take the what you use it for out. there is no right answer.

Yes, it is good compared to what it replaced. Take a K6-2, or Pentium 3/4/d and it is excellent.

No, it is not a great current processor. Intel, even back to some Core 2 lines have better IPC (meaning they can do more per Hertz). The difference, even per price, leaves AMD as not really an option. But some are bull headed and keep the price/performance argument going.

I've never used a AMD except for on my recent computer, but my GHZ is 1.6... : \

judging on yours I would say yes :good:

I am sorry i did not want to cause an argument :(, please remove this thread as i can see no one see's it as usefull. Once again sorry for the arguments i haved caused.

I use a similar version! Seems to be real powerful, I haven't had any complaints with it so far. Handles all the programs I run without slowdowns, such a welcome upgrade from my old single core athlon!

I totally agree with Bigfella here. If you want the facts straight, look at the numbers and technology. Most applications and games utilize only 2 cores or 4 cores max. I don't see a need to get anything more than 4 cores if you don't need it which I doubt you will. Honestly, you would be great with a quad core, cheaper and its all you really need.

Definitely a no on this one. Oh an there's nothing to be sorry about. Some people just don't have their facts straight so it has to be discussed.
