Well, I finally got a replacement mobo and everything is golden... just about.
After applying arctic silver 5 on my cpu to reinstall it in the new mobo, it seemed to be running hot... around 45C idle, 50+ load. So I took off the heatsink, cleaned everything up really well with the artic silver cleaning stuff, and reapplied the grease thinking i just didn't do it right. Well, it still runs around 45C idle and im wondering wtf is wrong, this seems a bit high. my old p4 in similar conditions ran around 38 idle and 45 under load. is this normal? my cpu is in sig.
