Is Patriot memory any good??

Patriot is a more recent brand to be seen without complaints heard on it. But for performance memory the latency is rather slow over other brands seeing things like 4-4-4-14 or 4-4-4-11 for timings. The lowest timings are seen on the OCZ Reaper memory at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227267

But there are also other brands like Kingston and Crucial to look at as well even Corsair. The timings on the G.Skill and Patriot of the five there were the slowest. I see the 4gb of Hyper X DDR2 800 kit has seen a good price drop from $329.99 down to $209.99 lately. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820104001

The two 4gb kits by Corsair both seeing $40 rebates can be looked over at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...052416064+1052315794&name=Corsair+(XMS+Series)

I'm an authorized OCZ reseller. I buy direct from OCZ. I can find out for you tomorrow. My rep has been pimping the Reapers for the last couple of days. I will be happy to ask him the difference between the SLI and the Reapers for you if you like. I can post back tomorrow. He's offline right now.

If you are strictly looking at the performance end of things then that will play into the reasons for selecting one brand and kit. The links here are all the better brands to look at. The "best deal" of course was simply on the kit seeing the lowest timings for the price range there.
