Is the amazon fire 5th gen a good choice?[Closed, dont click]

You could probably argue that the second Nexus 7 would make a better test bed than whatever other bullcrap he's considering :p
I dont want you posting on my threads anymore, thanks.

Over your Nexus 7? No.
???????. Im not talking about a nexus. im talking about a amazon fire 7.

Why not just keep the Nexus 7? Nexus devices are the best for custom ROMs.
Umm, i need the money.

The point was that you're subjecting yourself to a downgrade for no reason. We're simply trying to point out that, instead of being effing retarded, there's a more wise decision available.

Suit yourself though, however you will be corrected/moderated when you post additional inaccurate or irrelevant misinformation.

Your thread makes it sound like you want to get the Fire tablet because you want to install custom ROMs. If you want to install custom ROMs, why not keep the Nexus 7 and not buy a Fire tablet??

Because the nexus 7 is a expensive tablet. i dont need 2 GB ram and 16 GB hard drive to test out ROM's. im looking for a cheap tablet to test roms on.

You'll be testing on crap hardware and when the rom runs like crap you'll complain about it.

You: This rom runs like crap. It sucks!
Us: what rom and what device?
You: Kindle Fire 5
Us: It's not the rom. It's the device.

You realize that the fees associated with PayPal and shipping your old tablet will make the cost savings from downgrading to a Fire tablet pretty much non-existent right?
eBay fees as well. eBay charges you an arm and a leg to sell anything these days.

Truth. Nothing hurt more than getting a bill from Ebay for $70 bucks a month after I'd sold my 7990. I'd totally forgotten about it then BAM. Bill.

Also @Grantapus, you do realize you just told a forum moderator to ...

Good luck with that tactic.

its not the kindle fire 5, its the amazon fire 5th gen 7", Big difference.

I'm so damn confused.

First, you have a substantially lengthy thread regarding flashing ROMs onto one of two Nexus 7's you own. Which isn't going very well for you, if you haven't noticed.

Secondly, this entire thread is based around a purchasing question for buying a new tablet? Fine and all, but you're selling one of the two Nexus 7's? Why not keep it and use that?
Your excuse is claiming that you "need the money", but yet you're going to buy a Kindle Fire? So... Let me get this straight. You need money, so you're going to sell a tablet... and buy another? You do realize that isn't going to net you like anything, so you wouldn't have the money you "need", right?

Also @Grantapus, you do realize you just told a forum moderator to ...

This is a horrible excuse for being overly-sensitive. A knowledgeable moderator on the forum (on which you are a guest) is obliging your request for advice, and when he gives it to you (which was good advice by the way), you get offended? There's a reason you're asking us for help, and if you aren't going to be receptive to it, I don't see why you would continue to seek it from us.

EDIT: To add to this,

its not the kindle fire 5, its the amazon fire 5th gen 7", Big difference.

It's still a Kindle.

You're comparing a Kindle Fire to a Nexus 7 for flashing ROMs? The Kindle will likely lag easily, not to mention the semi-walled-garden Amazon likes to keep around them. That usually doesn't complicate things substantially, but given your issues with flashing the Nexus 7, I can't imagine it would go better.
