is the Radeon X300 Se a good video card

I Have a Emachines T2625 and im planning on buying a pretty good video card for not too much money. I need some help, can anyone tell me if this card would be good for my computer and if i would be able to play games like battlefield 2

Here is some info on my computer:

Basic specs for eMachines T2625

Processor-- AMD Athlon XP (2.13 GHz)
RAM installed-- 512 MB
Hard drive-- 120 GB
2nd hard drive-- None
CD / DVD drive-- DVD±RW
2nd optical storage type-- DVD-ROM
Monitor type - technology - form factor-- None
Graphics processor-- S3 ProSavage8
Audio output-- Sound card
Cabinet form factor-- Desktop
Dimensions (W x D x H)-- 7.3 in x 6.0 in x 14.1 in
OS provided-- Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
 
Well, the short answer is maybe... ;) For a very cheap price, this card is a pretty good deal, however don't expect stellar results from it, especially with games like BF2. For about $150 you can get a much better quality card that will last you quite a few years... Good luck!

so are you saying the game will work or your not sure. And also if you could please specify which card exactly do you think would be the best.

do not take a fx5500. its nothing more that a overclocked 5200.
if i was you, i would go for a second hand 5700 LE.
you can get cheap a good video card ;)
 
He dose not even know if he has an AGP or PCIE slot in his computer.
Maksym do you no if you have a AGP slot?
 
I think he meant PCI and AGP. Don't get an Ati card because theres no support for pixel shader 3.0 which is necessary for the next unreal engine.
