Is there a way to get around a monitoring program on a home network?

One of my friends is being monitored by a network program that watches everything. It keeps the chats, keylogs, email messages, etc.

This is a home network.

Is there a way to get around that?

Someone obviously setup the security for a reason, likely his parents? So no, there's no reason to get around it.
