Is there an alternative to iTunes for uploading to iPod?

Hi, I've got a 60GB iPod as a gift. I've got a good set of MP3's organized to my liking, but when I installed iTunes it totally screwed up my organization and spread them all in multiple folders and it totally sucks. So is there any other alternative software that can use to upload to this iPod? I'm used to other MP3 players where one can drag and drop into your own folders and categories. Thanks.
 
There might be some out there, but not any that I would really recommend using on an iPod. There should also be an option when you're installing iTunes to have it re-categorize everything or not. I remember it asking a question like that and I chose no.
 
i know there are programs that allow you to remove songs from your ipod, but im not sure about putting them on...my friend said something about WMP, i have never tried it though...

read all about it and everything, I have the h300 they are working on also, and its great.

generally its a 3rd party firmware for selected MP3 players that a group of people make as a hobby. Right now its in its beta stages for ipod, so its not completely safe, but in a month or so it will be. I think it will have drag and drop for ipod (not sure if implamented yet but they are working on it)

so look into it and see if you like it, visit the ipod forums for more information and good luck

note: it will be repleated that you will viod your warrenty and there is a risk of bricking, but the fact remains that there were no recorded cases of bricking and its a big gain even if you lose the warrent :D
 
Well someone just recommended Anapod. I'll try it out. I'm just sad that iTunes totally massacred my library and organization. I doubt it'll correct itself if I uninstalled it, huh? .... damn them... :mad:
 
there is a program i have heard of called ephopod or smethin like that...
and itunes does ask u if u want it 2 organize ur music files 4 u when u first open it

im sure alot of you people already know how to do this, but i'm sure some of you guys dont... just trying to help...

this is probably only usefull for people who have iPods :)
