is there an html code that can save an image for you automatically?

so instead of it just linking to a a jpg picture online, is there a code that goes to the jpg pic and saves it for you automatically? so you dont have to right click, save image as?
please dont think that i am lazy, i am just wanting to know if there is an html code for this for my computer class

No there is no <download> tags in HTML.

You can put it in a Zip File and make a link ( <a href>) to it and the browser will autmatically ask you if you want to open it or download it.

there's a lot of plugins for firefox that will do what you want

flashgot, down them all!, will both automatically download all pictures on a webpage, or any other types of files you specify

there's also a few picture plugins that will automatically create a thumbnail gallery from a webpage.

say you were browsing the "post your desktop" thread, rather than seeing the forum, and the pictures posted, you'd simply see a page with all of the pictures people posted in a gallery.
