Hi,

I've just got my new build up and working (with a bit of help ;))

and I was wondering if there was anything that I should do to get the full performance from my Core 2 Duo?

I don't want to OC just yet, more like anything in the BIOS that I should change?

Or generally anything?

If using USB periphials(kb, mouse, etc), go into BIOS and turn the USB Legacy On. Some have it enabled stock and some don't, mine didn't but I caught it before I had problems.
 
Disable onboard sound and video if you do not use them. Possibly increase the frequency bandwidth for your PCIe bus. Enter in the memory timing manually as opposed to having them on auto.

A few off the top of my head..
