Is there anyway to did up old microsoft word files after i reinstall xp?

I need to find these files if i can. I havent done the re install yet.

Well, if you've already ready done the format, it is technically possible, but you have to hope that it hasn't been written over by things you've installed, there's plenty of software that can do it for you, but I've never used them, so I can't recommend anything. If you haven't done the format, just back up the files on to a USB drive or CD.

Ontrack easy data recovery is what i use. Its costly but does everythign you need to do.
