Back in August I brought a New HP Computer with Windows 7 and every since I have been having problems with it losing the page and asking for a Diagnosis and I have had this checked out ever since this has been going on without any success in fixing this problem.
They told me that I needed to up grade to a faster internet speed and I did without any success on that part.

I was in a Holtel over Christmas and ask them to use their computer and it happened there also. So I have to ask myself if there is a problem with Windows 7.
All I know is that this problem is getting to be very old.

I am about to get Windows 8 in hopes of correcting this problem and to be up to par.

Does Windows 8 work on a reglar screen and a wireless mouse?

Would I be improveing my system by going to Windows 8?

Just are the PRO and CON's of Windows 8?

If you are talking about losing a wireless Internet connection.

Then look in the Device Manager for the Wireless adapter. Many new Laptops the Wireless Network Card is set for maximum Battery Life, and shuts down the connection without warning.

I like to set the Wifi Cards so they don't Turn off, or maybe Maximum Performance. Kind of depends on how the Driver was written.

You might also reinstall the latest Wifi Driver that HP offers at it's web site.

Hp has a killer amount of bloatware, My mom has a Hp and my sister has a Compaq and honestly your best bet if you want a good user experience with Windows 7 on that company is to either re-install Windows and install only the driver that have to do with the systems hardware or go into control panel and start deleting all the hp bloatware. Just my opinion.

This is on a Desktop Computer that I have all this trouble with.

I would think that the technicians would know what to remove wouldn't they or would they?

What are your feeling about Windows 8?

Desktop, laptop all the same with the bloatware when it comes to Hp. I would assume that a Tech would know how to remove bloatware but whether they would get it all who knows. I just know that the Hp's I have personally went in and did fresh installs of Windows 7 with only hardware required drivers and they run great now with little problems.

I have used Windows 8, it is fun, fast and secure. I stopped using it and went back to Ubuntu only for the fact I prefer a somewhat traditional desktop. I like the U/I of Windows 8 for a tablet but not for a desktop. If you use Windows 8 you might find it annoying how some applications will only open is Metro and other in the traditional desktop, I like having one desktop U/I.
