Is there some type of retarded RAID setup in my PC?

I moved my old SSD that originally had Windows on it to the hotswap bay on my PC and I formatted it and everything but anytime I access data on my main HDD the SSD's activity light blinks along with it, although in Windows the SSD is empty (120GB/120GB free). I tried to eject the SSD but it said it was in use, and if I unplug the SSD my PC starts acting weird and it will crash. WTF is going on here?!

Usually ejecting only works for external devices like USB hard drives. I've never seen that as an option for an internal SATA drive. Since it's formatted, power down your PC then remove it.

Some systems have BIOS options for marking specific internal sata ports as 'removable' for hot swap bays and similar.

The hot-swap bay probably also shows when main HDD activity is occurring. I used to have a hot-swap bay that did that.

Oh I didn't know that. It happens with both discs in the hotswap bay and it happened even before I moved the SSD from what I remember. The bay is a Vantec NexStarSE dual 2.5"
