Is this a decent laptop?

I'm considering this laptop. I'm really hard on laptops. I usually buy one in the $2000 price range with as long of an extended warranty as I can. It usually has to be pretty much rebuilt at least once if not twice. I know my current one is around 5-6 years old and is on it's 3rd hard drive, third motherboard, second case, second screen, etc. The only thing original is the CD/DVD drive.
I decided I'd probably be better off to just buy a cheap one and hope I can get 2 years out of it then just upgrade. So this brought me to this laptop. Is it a decent choice or are there better choices out there? I want the best I can get for the price. I also want one that will hold up decently to me using it on the sofa, in the car, etc. Any suggestions or is this a good choice?
 
To be honest with you those are both are good brands. As far as the hardware is concerned they are the same and they are both put together with good quality from the manufactor so I would say pick the one with the best case.
